Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 30, 2026

Trample is a step competition app. We collect the minimum data needed to run competitions between you and your friends. We don't run ads, we don't use analytics, and we don't share your data with third parties.

Health Data

Trample reads your daily step count from Apple HealthKit. This data is used solely to determine competition results between you and your opponent. Step counts are synced to our servers so your competitor can see the matchup.

We never sell, share, or provide your health data to any third party. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.

Photos

When you create a competition, you take a fight card photo that serves as your avatar. This photo is stored on our servers and displayed to your opponent. Your photo is deleted when you delete your account.

Device Identifiers

Trample creates an anonymous account using a device-generated identifier. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information. There is no sign-up form.

Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store your push notification token to send you alerts when you're behind in a competition. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

What We Don't Collect

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted from our servers, including step counts, photos, and notification tokens.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Health data and photos are stored on secured servers. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.

Children's Privacy

Trample is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
